Casio High Speed EXILIM EX-FH20 is one of the fastest on the market

We’ve covered Casio’s EXILIM series before, and they have just recently announced their new HIGH SPEED EXILIM series, which includes the Pro EX-F1. That camera was released earlier this year, and it has to its credit as being the “world’s fastest digital camera”.

The EX-F1 can shoot at 60fps and record high speed movies at 1,200 fps. Now Casio has recently unveiled the EX-FH20, a camera that is capable of shooting 40fps and can record video footage at 1,000 fps. Of course, you don’t have to record video that fast, as the HD movie function is capable of 30fps at a resolution of 1,280 x 720.

The company gave the EX-FH20 a compact body that is 27% smaller than the EX-F1, and is also 28% lighter. The EX-FH20 has 9.1 megapixels, and a wide angle zoom lens of 20X.

The EX-FH20 is also capable of high speed burst shooting of 7 megapixel images that are adjustable up to 40fps. That means that this camera is capable of prerecording 40 still images that somehow will be there before a user hits the shutter button.

It also has a High Speed Anti-Shake function and Night Scene setting, which makes pictures as perfect as possible. The Casio ELIXIM EX-FH20 is slated to be in stores in next month for about $600.

Gamucci electronic flavored cigar includes nicotine

If you have a serious thing for cigars, but you’ve finally decided it’s best not to smoke them you might be looking for something to fill the void. Granted not a whole lot of cigar smokers I’ve seen have had a nicotine habit to kick, so something with nicotine isn’t really necessary. Typically cigar smokers smoke for the love of cigars and at least the ones I know have quit several times and just occasionally smoke cigars later on. It doesn’t seem like they have nearly the urge to smoke that cigarette smokers do.

Well if you do have nicotine cravings, this electronic cigar might help you get your fix without inhaling unhealthy smoke. The electronic cigar has nicotine and puffs out harmless vapors that look like smoke. It is tobacco scented and comes in Cuban tobacco flavor. It will last for 600 puffs, which is the equivalent to 40 cigarettes. Also, since it is just vapor this is puffing out you could smoke it in places that don’t allow smoking. To pick on up it will cost you £11.99 or about $21.

The Big Hug Adhesive Cell Phone Holder

Cars, especially older ones, don’t always have a convenient spot to put your cell phone and I’ve never been a fan of leaving it in my pocket while driving. Yes, you could slip it into your cupholder, but it’s not quite in the line of sight and that means your drink can’t go there. Which could be catastrophic for those in dire need of caffeine and are unwilling to hold it between their legs. Well with this little cell phone holder your phone will always be at the ideal spot for you.

It has adhesive backing so you can stick it to any random surface you like. It will work with some slim cell phones, and since it is made of soft material you don’t have to worry about it scratching up your phone. Unfortunately, since this is being sold over the internet you’ll just have to buy it and pray it happens to work with your phone. It does say that it will not work with the wider phones like the iPhone. It is sold with those giant purple hands, sadly, there are no other color options available. It is being sold for $3.99, which means the $5 shipping charge costs more than the product itself.

The Seamour Sheep Radioactive USB Lamp

USB gadgets are always taking gadgets to a whole new level of bizarre, well this little sheep is no exception. The USB Seamour Sheep lamp is created after the Seamour Sheep online comic series.  Although if you do pick one up, all anyone is likely going to notice is that you actually paid money to have a green glowing radioactive sheep.  Which puts you on a whole different level of geekdom.

Robotic Spyplanes have Medical uses too

This isn’t the first time that we have reported on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and most of the time, these are used for spying in enemy territory. It appears that UAVs have medicinal uses as electronic flying couriers.

Think of them as that big G button on Speed Racer’s Mach 5 that fires an electronic homing pigeon. It was used on the cartoon all the time, but only mentioned in the movie. (By the way, theSpeed Racer movie is coming out on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow, and you should invest your money in a film that was incredibly awesome and yet was somehow a box-office flop.)

Sorry for digression, but I thought the Speed Racer reference would give you a good idea what these electronic courier pigeons do. These things can be programmed to carry medical supplies to and fro to places that don’t have advanced hospitals, such as Third World countries.

Bushnell BackTrack helps you recover lost items

If your age is catching up with you, then chances are you would have forgotten where you parked your car before, especially in those huge malls that seem to stretch on forever. Using a SIRF Star III GPS receiver, the Bushnell BackTrack device remedies such a situation thanks to three location modes that are able to guide you back to a previously marked spot, using directional arrows as well as distance estimations as your guide. It comes with a backlit display, enabling you to use it at night and in the day. Since it is weather resistant, it is also suitable for outdoor use, especially when you’re wandering away from base camp to explore the area on your own. Unfortunately, the Bushnell BackTrack will come only in pink or black colors, and it will retail for $69 a pop.
